| Molly & Lu have a very important job here at The Crosstimbers. Much of our work here is done with Wild Animals who are either orphaned or injured. Molly & Lu have been carefully raised to respect and care for wildlife. Since wild animal scents or cries can draw other wild animals, there is a constant balance of caring for recuperating animals while keeping healthy wild ones far enough away to keep those in our care safely away from night visitors. Molly & Lu have been exposed to all types of animals since they were pups. They spend their nights barking, chasing off and protecting those who we are trying to help by keeping our local wild one's at bay. We have never known them to injure any animal - but we sure don't see coyotes anymore! Our Gentle giants truly are the watchful eye around here when we cannot be all places at once. |
